Educational Technology Support
Educational Technology Services is committed to supporting the instructional technology needs of the UC San Diego community. We’re happy to provide support for a variety of tools to meet the educational technology needs of our faculty and students, including instructional tools, tools for video conferencing and lecture capture, and media production.
Manage Your Course
With Canvas, UC San Diego's learning management system, instructors can communicate with students, provide course materials, administer assignments and assessments, and track grades using Canvas. Canvas supports the integration of third-party tools like Turnitin, Gradescope, and iClicker to enhance the classroom experience.
Conduct and Record Class Sessions
Educational Technology Services provides and supports three technological tools designed to help deliver instruction remotely and/or asynchronously. Zoom, Kaltura, and Podcasting are available to all faculty and students to facilitate engaging instruction as well as lecture capture and delivery.
Produce Instructional Media
We are proud to offer the following services to meet your instructional media and equipment needs, including self-serve and done-for-you instructional video production, equipment available for student media projects, and upgraded media systems in general assignment classrooms and lecture halls.
